The Bastide du Laval estate stretches over 30 hectares of olive trees, vineyards, and woodland. A typical landscape of the southern Luberon, just a stone’s throw from two villages listed among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France": Ansouis and Lourmarin.
Here, flavour, fruitiness, and delicate aromas are cultivated… At the heart of the olive grove, which counts 4,000 trees, lies the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) zone “Huile d’olive de Provence”, a guarantee of traceability, control, craftsmanship, and respect for the terroir. The trees are grown following the principles of organic farming.
Bastide du Laval is above all a family-run estate, founded in 1998 by Carine and Roland Coupat, both driven by their love for the land and respect for tradition. Since then, they have produced olive oils that are widely recognised and have won numerous awards in France and abroad.
The mill is open to visitors all year round for self-guided tours. You can follow a marked trail through the olive grove, take an audio-guided tour of the mill, and enjoy a complimentary tasting of the estate’s olive oils and wines. Guided group tours are also available, as well as in-depth workshops to learn the art of tasting or even create your own olive oil blend.
The shop offers a wide selection of estate products: olive oils in various intensities, Luberon wines, vinegars, tapenades, soaps, and local delicacies. Everything you need to take a little piece of Provence home with you.
