Wednesday 29 July 2026 between 10 am and 6 pm.
On 29 July 2026, the Lavender Museum Luberon celebrates summer with a special day dedicated to lavender, creativity and the gentle Provençal way of life.
With its “Peace, Love and Lavender” theme, this festive day invites young and old alike to enjoy a unique sensory experience in a bohemian atmosphere inspired by the 1970s, in the heart of the Luberon.

At this time of year, the lavender fields are in full bloom, the cicadas provide a soundtrack to the visit, and the museum becomes a true open-air living space. For a day, young and old alike can enjoy a summer family outing in a cheerful, natural and creative atmosphere.
Throughout the day, several discovery workshops are included with the admission ticket. The sensory workshop, offered from 10:15 am to 11:30 am and again from 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm, invites visitors to recognise the emblematic scents of Provence and compare the fragrances of fine lavender, thyme, mint and other local aromatic plants.
Children can take part in the lavender sachet workshop from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, a simple, fun and creative activity to enjoy with the family. They make their own scented sachet with the help of the museum team and leave with their creation.
From 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, the lavender wand workshop led by Mrs Bagnoli invites visitors to learn the traditional art of lavender weaving and leave with a fragrant creation. This activity is available for a €10 contribution.
The scented watercolour workshop, led by Nathalie Maire, takes place from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with sessions at 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. It is an original artistic experience where participants paint the flowers and plants of the Luberon while enjoying their fragrances. This activity is available for a €5 contribution.
This special day showcases lavender in all its forms, combining living heritage, traditional skills, handcrafted creation and sensory pleasure.

Alongside the workshops, the museum offers several activities to deepen visitors’ discovery of lavender heritage. The traditional distillation demonstration, held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and again from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, allows visitors to observe traditional techniques and understand how fine lavender essential oil is produced.
The self-guided audio tour, available from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, allows visitors to explore the museum collections at their own pace and discover more than 350 objects related to lavender growing.
Two traditional guided tours are also offered at 11:45 am and 4:00 pm for a deeper insight into the history of lavender, distillation and Provençal expertise.
Throughout the day, Art Glacier d’Ansouis will be serving in the museum courtyard, offering a refreshing break with original flavours. Fine lavender, thyme, rosemary, rose, melon and many other flavours add to this festive day in a warm and summery atmosphere.
A wonderful opportunity to extend the visit, enjoy the setting and savour a special moment with family or friends in the fragrant world of Provence.
