On 3 October in Cavaillon, Marie-Aude Murail and Constance Robert-Murail invite visitors to an exceptional literary encounter devoted to co-writing, family transmission and children’s literature.
When literature is a family affair, writing also becomes a story of transmission, complicity and sharing.
Marie-Aude Murail, a major name in children’s and young adult literature, and her daughter Constance Robert-Murail will look back at the behind-the-scenes story of their shared writing.
This encounter will explore the passion for reading and writing, the joy of storytelling and the way imagination is passed down from one generation to the next.
Marie-Aude Murail and Constance Robert-Murail will share their experience of co-writing and the behind-the-scenes story of their collaborations.
In the Murail “clan”, the love of writing is passed down from generation to generation, between family, creation and literature.
The encounter will be followed by a book signing, offering a chance to continue the conversation with the two authors.
Born in Le Havre in 1954, Marie-Aude Murail has published more than one hundred books translated into twenty-five languages, some of which have been adapted for stage or screen.
Author of titles such as Oh, boy !, Simple, Miss Charity and the Sauveur & Fils series, she has accompanied millions of readers for over thirty years.
Born in 1994, Constance Robert-Murail graduated from the École normale supérieure de Lyon and is an agrégée in English.
After researching American literature and cinema, she now devotes herself to writing in many forms: novels, songs and web writing.
Marie-Aude Murail’s most recent titles, including season 7 of the Sauveur & Fils series and the two-volume historical novel Francœur, were written with her daughter Constance Robert-Murail.
This encounter will explore how a two-voice text comes into being, how characters are built and how the pleasure of storytelling can be shared.
