A love story told through their songs

In 1973, Véronique Sanson left Michel Berger, but their story continued to resonate through their songs. Across their respective discographies, the two artists appear to answer one another, creating a musical correspondence shaped by love, absence, regret and the pain of living apart.

Toute une vie sans se voir connects their relationship with the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, two lovers condemned never to look at one another again. Songs such as Pour me comprendre, Seras-tu là, Besoin de personne, Message personnel and Mon piano danse become fragments of a romantic dialogue long hidden within their repertoires.

Julie Rousseau and Bastien Lucas sing and play the piano, interweaving the words and melodies of the two artists without attempting to imitate them. Directed by Stéphane Olivié-Bisson, the acting, voices and two pianos form an intimate narrative in which each song moves the story forward.
