Every year, the Voix Partagées Festival transforms Lauris into a vibrant meeting place centred around world songs, polyphony and collective vocal practices.
Concerts, dances, workshops, courses, musical performances and shows take over different venues across the village in a warm, festive and highly participatory atmosphere.
The festival brings cultures and musical traditions together, celebrating both the artists and the simple pleasure of singing, dancing and sharing music together.
While awaiting the next programme, discover below the highlights of the 6th edition, held from 29 to 31 May 2026 and dedicated to South America.
From 29 to 31 May 2026, the festival explored the music and voices of South America, from Brazil to Argentina and from Colombia to Uruguay, through concerts, dances, polyphony, workshops and participatory events.
From Argentine zamba to Uruguayan candombe, Mexican bolero and Peruvian waltz, this voice-and-guitar duo explored the many facets of Latin American popular music.
Son jarocho blended with African and Arab-Andalusian influences in an evening devoted to singing, dancing and sharing.
The evening continued in the spirit of the Mexican fandango, followed by a collective Cantera.
Argentine tango, bossa nova and Latin rhythms accompanied a musical stroll through the cafés and streets of Lauris.
Choirs, quartets and workshop participants filled the village with Latin American songs, polyphony and collective creations.
An intimate and festive roda de choro brought together guitar, mandolin, melodica, flute and pandeiro in the Château courtyard.
The forró dance brought Lauris to its feet with rhythms from northeastern Brazil, including ciranda, côco, maracatu and samba.
Fourteen musicians closed the evening with Colombian cumbia, recreating the vibrant atmosphere of celebrations in Barranquilla and Cartagena.
The day also offered an exploration of the roots of Latin American music and an introduction to forró with Yann Cabôco.
A participatory singing batucada featuring traditional Brazilian percussion and songs, including afoxé, samba de roda and côco.
Around thirty voices accompanied by Afro-Latin percussion, marimba and violin took audiences on a musical journey from Colombia to Peru and from Venezuela to Puerto Rico.
Theatre, music and dance came together in a poetic and humorous journey through Latin America.
Cuatro, double bass, guitar and percussion created a musical journey from Colombia to Brazil and from Cuba to Argentina.
The roda de samba brought the festival to a festive close, inviting the audience to dance, sing and clap along around the musicians.
A short performance combining puppetry, piano, humour and poetry added another creative dimension to the festival’s final day.
Brazilian songs, polyphony, traditional singing, percussion, pandeiro, dance and Circle Songs gave festival-goers the opportunity to practise alongside artists and workshop leaders.
The weekend also featured a guided visit to the Jardin des Plantes Tinctoriales and a musical reading with Jean-Claude Mourlevat, bringing literature and music together.
Voix Partagées lives up to its name: here, music is not simply something to listen to. It is sung, danced and passed on. Artists, residents, singers and visitors come together in the streets, courtyards and cultural venues of Lauris, turning the human voice into a shared language.
