Luberon wines, biodynamics and the character of the terroir

Grape harvest at Château Fontvert, grapes picked in the vineyard near Lourmarin

The existence of the estate has been documented since 1598. Today, biodynamic principles guide every step, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, with particular attention paid to the natural balance of the soils, biodiversity and the precision of the winemaking process.

The estate’s grape varieties

The parcels fully express their potential thanks to a grape selection emblematic of southern France:

  • Red and rosé wines: Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Cinsault
  • White wines: Rolle, Grenache Blanc

The result is a range of clean, generous and well-structured wines that reflect the foothills of the Luberon in a style that is both sun-drenched and elegant.

Château Fontvert wines

The wines of Château Fontvert are available in several ranges, each offering a different interpretation of the Luberon terroir and the biodynamic work carried out on the estate.

Château Fontvert

Elegant wines that blend two grape varieties in the great tradition of Luberon wines. They offer a fine balance between power and freshness, with a harmonious expression of the terroir. These cuvées embody the style of the estate and are its finest ambassadors.

Les Parcellaires

These single-parcel cuvées combine the estate’s finest terroirs with its emblematic grape varieties: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Noir and Vermentino. Produced from old vines and in small quantities, they stand out for their concentration, finesse and depth. Exceptional wines, precise and well-balanced, created for lovers of great Luberon expressions.

Les Restanques

Easy-drinking, straightforward and fruity wines, designed for pleasure and sharing. Produced from the estate’s young vines, they are vinified in tanks to highlight the expression of the fruit. This range seeks a balance between freshness and roundness, ideal for convivial moments with family or friends.

Free tastings and visits to the estate

You are welcome to enjoy a free wine tasting to discover the estate’s biodynamic approach and its different cuvées.

  • For individuals: free tasting, welcome at the estate
  • For groups: tastings and visits by appointment, with tailor-made options depending on group size and services

Château Fontvert is part of the network of wine estates and cellars in the Luberon, to be discovered during your wine tourism experiences in the region.

Useful tip: if you are planning a full visit (vineyards, cellar and discussions about biodynamics), booking in advance is recommended, especially during the high season.

Producers of wines, landscapes… and olive oil

Château Fontvert embraces a broad vision of its craft: producing wine, of course, but also preserving landscapes, supporting biodiversity and cultivating a Provençal art of living. The estate also produces olive oil, in keeping with this coherent and living approach to agriculture.
