Every spring, during the Ascension weekend, Cavaillon enthusiastically celebrates a traditional festival that has become a must in the Luberon: the Corso. This major family event combines creativity, local craftsmanship and a festive spirit, marking the beginning of the festive season in Cavaillon, which continues throughout the summer with other popular highlights such as the Melon Festival.
The 2026 edition, organised from 14 to 17 May, invites both young and old to celebrate the seasons through a colourful and poetic world. Between blooming spring, bright summer, warm autumn and enchanting winter, decorated floats, marching bands, street performers and festive entertainment will transform the town centre into a true open-air spectacle.
The funfair, set up at Le Grenouillet, extends the magic for both children and adults with its rides, free activities and festive atmosphere.
A unique immersion into Cavaillon’s traditions, brought to life by the passionate volunteers of Les Géants de Papiers, who keep this emblematic event alive every year with enthusiasm and generosity.
Thursday 14 May at 3:00 PM - Traditional Corso Parade
The grand traditional parade opens the festivities with its decorated floats, marching bands and festive groups that bring the streets of the town centre to life in the purest Corso tradition. Orchestras will bring a truly festive spirit throughout the entire route.
Saturday 16 May at 9:30 PM - Night Parade
When night falls, the Corso transforms and becomes a magical spectacle. The night parade lights up the town centre with its sparkling floats, professional street performers and numerous animations along the route to amaze both children and adults.
Friday 15 May from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM - Les Barbiches Tourneurs live in concert, Place Gambetta
With their offbeat style and contagious energy, Les Barbiches Tourneurs revisit great classics in a show combining music, humour and comedy. Improvisation, audience interaction and good vibes shape this original concert to enjoy with family or friends.
After the concert, the celebration continues with a big DJ night in the heart of Cavaillon. The dance floor opens to everyone to extend the magic of the Corso with lively rhythms and a festive atmosphere until late into the night.

The fairground operators invite you to enjoy 5 days of colourful festivities. With more than 80 rides and attractions, fun is guaranteed for both children and adults!
Parades, music, festive entertainment and fireworks will set the pace for this great popular celebration organised by the fairground community.
The funfair opens on Wednesday 13 May at 5:00 PM, then from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 May from 3:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with the final closing on Sunday 17 May at 10:00 PM.
