Every spring, over the Ascension weekend, Cavaillon celebrates one of its great local traditions: the Corso de Cavaillon.
Decorated floats, brass bands, street performers, concerts and entertainment fill the town centre with a festive, family-friendly atmosphere, while the funfair at Le Grenouillet extends the celebrations with its many rides and attractions.
Brought to life by the volunteers of Les Géants de Papiers and many local organisations, the Corso celebrates each year a tradition and local expertise deeply rooted in life in Cavaillon.

From 14 to 17 May 2026, the Corso brought Cavaillon to life around the theme of the seasons, with float parades, music, entertainment, a funfair and popular events throughout the town.
Decorated floats, brass bands and festive groups opened the celebrations in the streets of the town centre, continuing the great tradition of the Corso de Cavaillon.
Les Barbiches Tourneurs brought Place Gambetta to life before a lively DJ night that continued until 1 am.
Illuminated floats, street performers and entertainment transformed the town centre into a spectacular night-time show.
Organised by Cyclo Sport Cavaillon in the Vidauque district, the traditional Grand Prix de la Reine du Corso brought together nearly 150 cyclists.
Set up at Le Grenouillet, the funfair accompanied the Corso for five days with more than 80 rides and attractions for children and adults alike.
Musical street performances, brass bands and firework displays brought several evenings to life, extending the festive atmosphere late into the night.

The theme of the 2026 Corso celebrates the four seasons. From blooming spring to magical winter, through bright summer and warm autumn, the floats, costumes and entertainment are inspired by this poetic universe to offer a true visual journey through the seasons. This 94th edition also pays tribute to works by painters who have illustrated each season.
What is the parade route for the 2026 Corso?
The Corso float parades follow a circular route through the heart of Cavaillon’s town centre. The starting point is at the corner of Cours Bournissac and Cours Victor Hugo, then the parade continues along Cours Gambetta and Cours Carnot before returning to the starting point. This route allows visitors to fully enjoy the entertainment in the main streets of the city centre.
What time do the 2026 Corso parades start?
Two major parades are scheduled for the 2026 Corso. On Thursday, May 14 at 3:00 PM, the traditional parade will take place, a true iconic event featuring decorated floats, marching bands and festive groups. On Saturday, May 16 at 9:30 PM, the illuminated night parade takes over, offering a more magical version of the Corso where glowing costumes, street performers and visual shows transform the town centre into an open-air spectacle.
Where is the funfair for the 2026 Corso located?
The Corso funfair is located at Le Grenouillet, Rue Alphonse Jauffret, just a short walk from Cavaillon town centre. It features more than 80 rides and attractions, along with plenty of entertainment provided by the fairground operators: musical parades, festive evenings and fireworks. The site is easily accessible on foot or via the free shuttle buses available throughout the festivities.
Are there fireworks during the 2026 Corso?
Yes, several fireworks displays are planned during the celebrations, all launched from Stade Roman, Rue Alphonse Jauffret. They will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at 10:00 PM, Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 PM, Friday, May 15 at 10:00 PM, and Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 PM.
Is parking free during the Corso?
Yes, parking is free throughout the festivities. Car parks are signposted at the entrances to the town, with the number of available spaces displayed in real time to make your arrival easier. You can also use the park-and-ride car park at Lycée Ismaël Dauphin to easily reach the town centre thanks to the free shuttle buses.
