The Perréal estate took over in 2020 by a team of lovers of the place with the need to revive a vineyard with little-known, singular and exceptional terroirs.
The estate is nestled at more than 350 meters above sea level on the north face of the Perréal hill, classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in the municipalities of Gargas and Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt.
It is located on two large groups of terroirs:
• Clay marls (Gargasian) and limestone scree giving strength and finesse to the wine.
• Ochous clays and sandstone limestone that produce elegant and airy wines with fresh fruit.
Syrah is in the majority. Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon complete the grape variety in red. Finally, Sauvignon Blanc is the only white grape variety currently in production at the estate. Roussanne and Vermentino will soon complete the range of white grape varieties.
The estate is conducted in organic farming. He works his vineyard in strict respect for living things, “soil and plants”. Observation and dynamization, that is our philosophy.
The harvest is done manually. We don't use any sulphites. The wines are aged in French oak barrels, terracotta amphorae and concrete eggs.
Our wines are the product of a land, a plant, and the human, living in harmony in a preserved and unique environment. We try to compose emotion and the desire to share.
