Camille Théveneau on violin and Florent Ling on piano for a violin and piano duo at the Château de Lourmarin

The Château de Lourmarin welcomes the Duo Con Fuoco, formed by Camille Théveneau on violin and Florent Ling on piano, for an evening of chamber music featured in the Summer Music Festival programme.

Built around three major sonatas for violin and piano, this concert offers a musical journey through Mozart, Grieg and Franck. The dialogue between the two instruments takes centre stage, between classical finesse, Romantic intensity and French lyricism.

In the heritage setting of the château, this evening invites audiences to experience a sensitive and vibrant moment, carried by the interplay between violin and piano.

A musical dialogue between Mozart, Grieg and Franck

The programme opens with Mozart’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in E minor, K. 304, a work that is delicate, expressive and deeply moving. Violin and piano respond to each other with clarity, in a subtle balance between restraint and emotion.

The evening continues with Grieg’s Sonata No. 3, Op. 45, a major work of Nordic Romanticism. Its passionate writing, contrasts and intense colours give the duo a particularly expressive force.

After the interval, César Franck’s Sonata for Violin and Piano will bring the concert to a close. Famous for its lyricism and harmonic richness, it offers a broad, poetic and luminous ending to the evening.
