Exhibitions 2024

31 March to 30 June: "Contemplations" - oil paintings by Elizabeth de Roquefeuil

Since her childhood, Elizabeth has been surrounded by a family of artists. After graduating from the Camondo school, she began working as an interior designer for a decorative upholsterer working on prestigious projects in France and abroad.

At the same time, Elizabeth took up painting. Using watercolour, gouache and pastel, she produced a large number of portraits of children, landscapes and interior scenes. Le Figaro Madame devoted a full page to her in 1990.

Inspired by her long stay in the West Indies, she gave life to two exhibitions in 1999 and 2001, showcasing the expressive nature of Guadeloupe in "Couleurs Caraïbes" and "Couleurs Jardins".

Elizabeth then moved to Warsaw, where she discovered an unspoilt natural environment that inspired new artistic projects, particularly in textile design. Immersed in the cultural crossroads of Poland, she was drawn to the soul of local artists.

Expatriate in Hanoi, Elizabeth drew on her culture to create, as artistic director, a collection of lacquer products (jewellery, tableware, etc.) for a new Vietnamese luxury brand, Hanoia, which aims to be at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures.

Back in Paris, she turned to oil painting, taking classes with two naval painters, François Legrand and Olivier Desvaux. This technique gave new impetus to her art and more substance to her work.

1 July to 2 November: Jean Verame

Jean Verame is a French artist of Belgian origin. A painter, sculptor and, on occasion, engraver, Jean Vérame's work focuses on the landscape, developing a nomadic art on a global scale.
