This small 3-hectare estate in the Parc du Luberon has been organically farmed since 2006. Doris produces mainly red wine, including a 100% carignan wine from old vines (60-100 years old). Half of the estate is worked with horses.

Sommaire

Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, La Chochotte du Boulon is a three-hectare winegrowing estate, farmed organically since 2006 under the direction of Doris.
Specialising in the production of red wine, the estate stands out for its 100% Carignan wine, made from old vines aged between 60 and 100 years. One remarkable feature is that half of the land is worked by horse, a method that encourages meticulous work that respects the soil and the environment.
Although located in the appellation area, the pure Carignan vines do not qualify for the Luberon PDO. This grape variety, which has long been underestimated due to a lack of understanding of its taste and aromatic qualities, nevertheless reveals its full potential over the years, as the vines mature. The new plantings, too, are carefully tended by horse power, in a careful and sustainable approach that preserves the surrounding ecosystem.
If you would like to enjoy a tasting in the heart of the vineyards, please contact Doris.
