Discover La Filaventure in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

View from La Filaventure to L

In L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, La Filaventure invites you to discover a unique universe dedicated to noble fibers, to the textile gesture and to the transformation of matter. Created by Pierre and Jean-Louis Brun, 7th and 8th generations of the Brun factory in Vian-Tiran, this place offers a sensitive immersion in more than two centuries of wool excellence.

Opened in July 2018, this museum was not designed as a simple historical space. It was imagined as a living place to share a passion, promote understanding of materials, reveal know-how and transmit the beauty of fabrics through a sensory and interactive experience.

Located in a historic wing of the factory, La Filaventure offers an original discovery of the city's textile heritage, between industrial memory, innovation and the softness of the most beautiful wools in the world.

Histoire Patrimoine industriel

A historic building transformed into a place of sharing

La Filaventure takes place in a site closely linked to the textile history of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in a former fulling mill that has become over time an emblematic place of manufacturing.

La Filaventure Historic Building et de la manufacture Brun de Vian-Tiran à L

This building, attested as early as the end of the 18th century, was first used for crushing fabrics before becoming a madder mill, then a textile finishing workshop. Its history accompanies that of a city whose cloth and wool manufacturing activity has long punctuated the local economy.

When Pierre and Jean-Louis Brun wanted to open their universe to the public, they chose this wing next to the manufacture's buildings to create a real meeting place between the brand, its expertise and its visitors.

The restoration was carried out with care, respecting the local architecture and the industrial memory of the site, while creating a living, welcoming and contemporary space.

Expérience Musée sensoriel

An immersive journey in the heart of the most beautiful wools in the world

Immersive tour of the La Filaventure sensory museum in L.

Upstairs, the museum offers an immersive journey of about 1.5 hours around the transformation of fiber into fabric. Guided by the Filambule, and by Edgar the sheep for the youngest, the visitor discovers the wool animals of the five continents, the materials, the sounds of the workshops, the gestures of the artisans and the stages of manufacture.

The course revolves around several significant spaces such as the Yarn Market, the Genesis of a Fabric, the Manufacturing Labyrinth and a space focused on textile innovation. Machines to be activated, materials to be touched, videos, videos, testimonies and interactive devices make the visit particularly lively.

Filaventure thus makes it possible to understand the 15 stages of manufacturing a fabric, from the fiber to the finished piece, in an approach that is at once educational, sensory and poetic.

Alone, as a couple, with friends or with family, this museum offers an original way to discover expertise that is more than two hundred years old through the direct experience of materials and gestures.

Savoir-faire Transmission & création

Sharing a profession, transmitting a passion

La Filaventure was born out of the desire to introduce the general public to a manufacturing profession that was long reserved for professionals, luxury houses and major retailers. This transmission process has been at the heart of the project since its inception.

The project is more than just telling a business story. Above all, he seeks to make people see, touch, hear and love the materials, gestures and the imaginary that surround textile creation. This approach makes the visit accessible and sensitive, even for visitors who are not familiar with the world of wool.

A space focused on tomorrow also allows you to discover the openness of manufacturing to innovation, in particular through partnerships with the world of textile design and contemporary creation.

La Filaventure thus shows that ancient know-how can continue to inspire, evolve and dialogue with today's aesthetic and creative challenges.
