In the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, the Calavon Cycle Route invites you to discover the area in a different way, at your own pace. Mostly developed along the former railway line connecting Cavaillon to Apt and then Volx, this greenway offers a safe, pleasant, and accessible cycling route for everyone.
No need to be an experienced cyclist here. The mostly flat route allows you to fully enjoy the landscapes without any particular effort. Between lavender fields, orchards, vineyards, and panoramic views of the Luberon hills, every pedal stroke becomes an invitation to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Connecting Cavaillon to Saint-Martin-de-Castillon over approximately 45 km, this cycle route is a true gateway to discovering the Luberon by bike.
The Calavon Cycle Route allows you to discover several iconic sites of the Luberon.
The most pleasant time to ride the Calavon Cycle Route is from March to June and from September to mid-November. Temperatures are milder and riding conditions more comfortable.
In summer, high temperatures and traffic on certain shared sections can make cycling more challenging. It is recommended to set off early in the morning and adapt your ride to the day's conditions.
