The village squares, bathed in shade thanks to rows of century-old plane trees, are true havens of freshness under the Provençal sun. After a stroll through the charming alleys, lined by the tall facades of its houses, take a moment to relax on a terrace near one of the many fountains in the village, which add real charm to the prevailing atmosphere.
Among the most remarkable are:
Fontaine de la place (Fountain of the square)
Located on the Place de l'Ormeau, the lively heart of the village, this is the oldest fountain in the village and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in the Luberon d'Aigues. Built towards the end of the 18th century, it was classified as a Historical Monument in 1914.
Fontaine aux trois masques (Fountain of the three masks)
It is also the most recent of them. Donated to the commune by the Laurent-Vibert Foundation in 1937, it is adorned with three enigmatic faces which, according to the writer Henri Bosco, are said to represent, in allegorical form, the three natural elements of the region: the Durance, the Rhône, and the Luberon.
