Lucile Travert's work makes the body's expressions visible and perceptible by unearthing singular anatomies that irreparably expose the Figure in the process of dismembering the body.

It is the craft of painting that is at stake in his plastic research. The linen canvas prepared by the artist reveals drawings, engravings, monotypes, iconographic documents and writings that are then 'charged' with colour, pigments, inks and oil glazes.

For 25 years, Lucile has presented her work to a discerning public at exhibitions in prestigious venues (Abbeys, Chapels, Art Centres, Galleries). She also likes to reach out to the uninitiated, making her painting accessible to all.
