Halloween in the Luberon in 2026 means a haunted castle, a museum making potions, investigations in the gardens and fancy-dress parties: plenty to keep everyone entertained during the holidays and fill those sweet bags.

Here are our ideas for days and evenings out, to choose according to the children’s ages, the time you want to head out and just how spooky you want things to be.

Before you go, a quick practical note: several events require advance booking, particularly at the Domaine de la Citadelle and Parc Spirou Provence. 31 October is also a particularly busy day, with several events taking place at the same time, so you may have to choose between them.

Halloween at the Lavender Museum

Here, Halloween comes with lavender, potions and a few slightly spooky stories.

From 18 October to 1 November, the Lavender Museum Luberon in Coustellet offers a range of activities: making lavender sachets, guided tours filled with spooky anecdotes, and scented watercolour workshops using natural pigments.

Haunted Castle: Halloween at the Château de Lourmarin

Three days to experience a Renaissance castle with a spooky twist.

From 29 to 31 October, the Château de Lourmarin is transformed into a haunted castle. Witches, bats and strange creatures take over its rooms.

It is still a visit to a historic monument, but with a much more mysterious atmosphere. Fancy dress is encouraged too: capes, witch hats and monster costumes are all welcome.

Halloween at Parc Spirou Provence in Monteux

A full day of rides and attractions, with a Halloween twist.

From 3 October to 11 November, mischievous ghosts, playful witches and crazy monsters take over the paths of Parc Spirou Provence. Expect thrill rides, Halloween decorations, roaming characters, shows and themed entertainment.

Every day, face-painting and caricature workshops let visitors transform into vampires, wizards or skeletons. Fancy dress is welcome, except for masks; capes and accessories may need to be removed on certain rides.

On four evenings, 17, 24, 30 and 31 October, the park stays open until 9 pm for special late-night sessions, including an exceptional show at NARUTO – Konoha Land with lasers, flames, music and lighting effects.

Halloween at La Roumanière in Robion: homemade crêpes and fancy dress

A tasty stop, with no booking required.

On Friday 30 October, La Roumanière in Robion serves homemade crêpes with a Halloween twist. Sweet – chocolate, jam or sugar – or savoury: there is something for every taste.

It is also a chance to try their homemade products: jams, honey, spreads and other specialities. And coming in fancy dress makes it even more fun.

Halloween at La Royère in Oppède: treasure hunt around the estate

A treasure hunt around the estate, with a mystery to solve.

On Saturday 31 October, between 10 am and 4 pm, children and adults set off on an adventure at La Royère in Oppède. Keep your eyes open, follow the clues and try to uncover the estate’s mysterious secret.

A fun way to discover the estate in an atmosphere specially created for Halloween. Your scariest fancy dress is more than welcome.

Halloween clue hunt at the Domaine de la Citadelle Botanical Garden

A mystery trail through a botanical garden, followed by a snack.

On Saturday 31 October, from 1:30 pm, the Domaine de la Citadelle invites visitors on a clue hunt through its botanical garden: keep your eyes open, solve the puzzles and follow the trail of the adventure.

To finish, everyone meets in the Grand Chai room for a complimentary snack. Fancy dress is strongly encouraged.

Parcours des Frissons: Halloween in Cavaillon

The town-centre shops become a giant playground.

On Saturday 31 October, from 3 pm to 7 pm, Cavaillon Action Commerce turns the centre of Cavaillon into a treasure hunt. Children, in fancy dress and accompanied by an adult, set off in search of unusual objects hidden in participating shops.

At each stop, they find the hidden object, collect their sweets and continue the trail. The route finishes at Spirit’s.

Halloween in Lauris: family evening and scare trail

A family evening and the perfect excuse to bring out the costumes.

On Saturday 31 October, from 6 pm, the Fiesta Carnaval association invites families to the Salle des Fêtes in Lauris.

On the programme: a fancy-dress competition, a scare trail for the bravest, workshops for children and adults, plus crêpes and sweets to keep everyone going throughout the evening.

There is something for every level of bravery, from the simple fancy-dress competition to the full scare trail.

Halloween in Puyvert: trick-or-treating, fancy dress and a shared meal

A village-style Halloween with sweets, mulled wine and a shared meal.

On Saturday 31 October, the events committee in Puyvert invites children and adults to celebrate Halloween in fancy dress. Meet at the town hall from 6 pm, before setting off around the village from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in search of sweets.

After the walk, everyone comes together for a friendly get-together with an aperitif and mulled wine. Guests are invited to contribute to the meal by bringing a savoury or sweet dish to share.

It is Halloween, village-style: dress up, collect sweets and share a meal with everyone.

Halloween: treasure hunt and horror night at the Domaine de la Citadelle

Two ways to celebrate Halloween among the vines: solve a mysterious investigation or dance into the night.

On Saturday 31 October, the Domaine de la Citadelle in Ménerbes switches into Halloween mode. From 6 pm, head to the Botanical Garden for a treasure hunt created by Hatanna Events, combining puzzles with a mysterious atmosphere.

From 7:30 pm, the mood changes with a fancy-dress DJ night running until 1 am, with music, one complimentary drink and sharing platters. The two activities are separate, so you can choose one, the other… or enjoy both!

One evening, two atmospheres: start by putting your brain to the test in the Botanical Garden, then swap puzzles for the dance floor.

Halloween party in Cheval-Blanc: karaoke, Zumba and DJ

End Halloween on a high note with music and fancy dress.

On Saturday 31 October, the Le Micro Dansant association takes over the Salle des Moulins in Cheval-Blanc. From 7:30 pm: karaoke, a Zumba Party, followed by a DJ set until midnight.

Fancy dress is part of the fun too, with a best costume competition and 2 kg of sweets to win. Drinks and snacks are available on site.
