Located in Cabrières d’Avignon, on the sun-drenched hillsides of the Monts de Vaucluse, Domaine de la Bastidonne is a 45-hectare family-run vineyard producing wines under the protected designation of origin Ventoux.

Facing due south, the vineyard benefits from an ideal terroir that allows optimal grape ripening and full aromatic expression in the wines.

The estate cultivates nearly twenty different grape varieties, a rare diversity that gives rise to characterful wines, true to the terroirs of the Luberon and Ventoux.

Committed to quality, the team applies meticulous vineyard practices including careful pruning, disbudding, green harvesting and leaf thinning. These methods help control yields and ensure optimal grape maturity.

Committed to a sustainable environmental approach, the estate has been managed according to organic farming practices since 2021, with respectful soil management and no use of chemical herbicides.

Our philosophy

At Domaine de la Bastidonne, wine quality begins in the vineyard. Each plot is carefully managed through meticulous pruning, shoot thinning, green harvesting and leaf thinning, helping to control yields and ensure optimal grape ripeness.

Committed to respecting both terroir and the environment, the estate follows a sustainable approach: soils are worked mechanically and the use of chemical herbicides has been discontinued.

Driven by a responsible vision, the estate has been organically farmed since 2021, reflecting a clear commitment to preserving the landscapes and biodiversity of the Monts de Vaucluse.

The history of Domaine de la Bastidonne

The history of Domaine de la Bastidonne in Cabrières d’Avignon spans generations, with a family adventure that began in the 19th century.

Owned by the Marreau family since 1840, the estate has evolved over time through successive generations. The first vinifications took place in the 1920s, before the continuity of the vineyard was ensured in the 1950s.

From the 1990s onwards, a new generation took over with the ambition of enhancing the terroir and preserving the family’s winemaking expertise. Today, the estate continues to grow with a strong focus on quality and environmental respect, notably through its commitment to organic farming since 2021.

From 01/01 to 31/12/2026 from Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sunday.

Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.

1 April to 31 October: open from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm

1 November to 31 March: open from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
