In Cavaillon, the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture (MJC) is the kind of place you can walk into for all sorts of reasons: to learn to draw, try a dance class, get moving again, take to the stage, spend time with your child… or simply enjoy a concert.
Founded in 1970, the MJC welcomes children, teenagers and adults throughout the year. With more than 50 activities, family events, workshops, exhibitions and a lively cultural programme at Le Grenier, there is always something new to try, enjoy or share.
Fancy getting creative, taking up a sport, stepping onto the stage, dancing or simply making a little time for yourself? The 2026-2027 season offers plenty of possibilities, with activities for children, teenagers and adults.
Creative arts & crafts
Visual arts, ceramics and pottery, sewing, bobbin lace, drawing, comics, illustration and painting.
Theatre & performance
Theatre for children and teenagers, adult theatre and improvisation.
Music & rhythm
Guitar, percussion and djembe.
Dance & energy
African dance, dancehall, introductory dance classes, heels, neo-dance, oriental dance, Cuban salsa and pom dance.
Feldenkrais Method, hatha yoga, meditation, qi gong, tai chi, yin yoga, yoga pilates, chair yoga and therapeutic yoga.
Fitness, pilates, stretching, strength training, badminton, volleyball, Nordic walking, hiking and caving.
Circus skills, capoeira and early-years gymnastics give children and older participants new ways to explore movement.
Kung fu, K-pop, Japanese iaido swordsmanship, Japanese language, calligraphy and tai chi.
Good to know: some activities are available from the age of 3, while many classes are also open to teenagers and adults. Check the full programme for days, times, age groups, instructors and prices.
This season, the MJC is introducing new opportunities for families to spend time together, play, chat and strengthen the bond between children, parents and grandparents.
A cosy, freely accessible space in the MJC lobby where families can browse books together and introduce younger children to the pleasure of stories.

Concerts, theatre, comedy, shows for younger audiences… Le Grenier is the performance venue at the MJC de Cavaillon. Its intimate size brings audiences close to the artists and gives every event a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The programme changes throughout the year, with emerging artists, local productions, festivals, concerts and family-friendly events.
The MJC also provides fully equipped rehearsal studios. Bands and musicians can rehearse, compose, prepare for a concert or simply play in a space designed for music-making.
