Sporty loop

A cycling route for lovers of elevation

Cyclist riding along the Cavaillon canal, between pine forest and garrigue

This 23 km loop starts in Cavaillon and includes a positive elevation gain of 450 m. It takes you up the first slopes of the Petit Luberon along small roads and forest tracks through pinewoods and garrigue. The route alternates between steady climbs and rolling sections, offering stunning views of the Durance Valley, the rooftops of Cavaillon and, in the distance, the Alpilles.

The trail gradually ascends to the heart of the Petit Luberon range, then descends gently towards Cheval-Blanc at the foot of the mountains. It crosses typical southern Luberon landscapes: dry-stone walls, Mediterranean woodland, terraced crops and paths lined with boxwood.

This route is ideal for cyclists who are comfortable with elevation and mixed terrain (roads and accessible tracks). It offers a true nature immersion, far from the crowds, with the possibility of a refreshing break or a gourmet stop in Cheval-Blanc before returning to Cavaillon via smoother roads.
