From 2 September to 15 October 2026, the MJC de Cavaillon is hosting Ventoux, du ciel aux racines, a photography exhibition by Lenny Vidal dedicated to the wildlife, trees, landscapes and weather phenomena of Mont Ventoux.

Through a selection of photographs taken across the mountain and its surroundings, Ventoux, du ciel aux racines reveals the diversity of one of Provence’s most iconic landscapes.
Wildlife, trees, rugged terrain, clouds and changing light come together to reveal a Mont Ventoux that is alive, ever-changing and sometimes unexpected. Each image reflects careful observation and an in-depth understanding of the natural environment.
The exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the Giant of Provence beyond its familiar scenery, from the depths of its forests to the weather phenomena that transform its summit.
Born in 1998, Lenny Vidal grew up between the Mediterranean coast and Mont Ventoux. Fascinated by nature from an early age, he took up photography at the age of 11 to capture the landscapes and natural environments around him.
His background in naturalist expertise has given him a deeper understanding of the species, habitats and ecological balances he photographs. This knowledge of the field informs images created with patience, discretion and close attention.
Also passionate about meteorology, he observes weather conditions to anticipate the light, clouds and distinctive atmospheres of the mountain.
The opening reception on Thursday 17 September at 6.30 pm will be an opportunity to discover the exhibition in a friendly atmosphere and meet the photographer.
An exhibition celebrating the Bicentennial of Photography
Ventoux, du ciel aux racines is part of Le Regard en héritage, the photography season organised across the Luberon Monts de Vaucluse area to mark the Bicentennial of Photography.
From September 2026 to summer 2027, exhibitions, talks, workshops and screenings explore photography from different perspectives. Lenny Vidal’s exhibition is part of the “A look at the local area” theme, focusing on landscapes, nature and wildlife.
