An emblematic product of the Mediterranean art of living!
This modern, pleasant venue invites you to explore the fascinating world of olive oil, the emblematic product of Provence, through an immersive experience that blends tradition and innovation. The museum offers an educational and sensory journey: from the harvesting of the olives to their transformation into oil, discover the ancient and modern techniques that have made this exceptional oil famous. Thanks to an original scenography, audio guides available in French and English, and multimedia presentations, your visit will be transformed into a real cultural and gustatory journey.
Olive oil tasting... and wine tasting too!
The Musée de l'Huile d'Olive is located at Domaine de La Royère, nestling in the heart of an exceptional wine-growing area, where wines made from the characteristic grape varieties of the AOP Luberon appellation have been produced organically for over 30 years. Explore the richness of the local vineyards and meet the passionate winemakers who cultivate these lands with dedication.
Take advantage of your visit to taste a selection of white, rosé and red wines, as well as olive oils pressed on site in a modern mill. Each cuvée reflects the uniqueness of its terroir, offering a unique palette of flavours.
An ethical estate in tune with the times
La Royère, founded in 1988 by the Hugues family, now covers some forty hectares of organically-farmed olive groves and vineyards. Keen to make the most of its harvests, the estate also produces a natural sweet wine and eaux-de-vie in its still, showcasing the full diversity of local produce.
The museum shop lets you take this experience home with you. You'll find a selection of the best olive oils from the estate, AOP Luberon wines, and local and artisanal products chosen for their quality and authenticity. It's an invitation to take a piece of this rich, living land home with you, and to share the treasures of the Luberon with your loved ones.
