Festive events all summer long

Summer in Cavaillon is filled with vibrant Provençal events: shows, night markets, concerts, street entertainment and of course... the Melon Festival!

• Melon en Fête 2025 – come celebrate the PGI melon
  4 & 5 July
  Two days to honour the region’s gourmet symbol with tastings, family entertainment, a local producers' market, a Provençal banquet and an open-air concert in the heart of the city.
• Cavaillon Jazz Festival – 3rd edition of this must-see music event
  9 & 10 July
  Two evenings and four concerts featuring vibrant, inspired, and multicultural jazz in an intimate and refined setting at the Moulin Saint Julien venue.
• Fireworks show – Pyrotechnic display for Bastille Day
  13 July – at the Hippodrome
• Firefighters’ Ball – a friendly evening with music and entertainment
  19 July, from 7 p.m. – at the Hippodrome
• Les Cavaillines – a friendly and festive open-air evening in the heart of the town
  18 July at 7 p.m. – Place du Clos
• Foam & DJ parties – 3 exceptional evenings with booming music, foam galore and an electrifying atmosphere under the stars
  25 July, 8 & 22 August – at the Hippodrome, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Vignères Festival – a new edition full of surprises and fun for all ages

• Liberation of Cavaillon – a tribute to a pivotal moment in the town’s history: its liberation by the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division.

This summer, explore Cavaillon and its history thanks to the tours organized by the Tourist Office and the City’s Heritage and Museums Department:

• "Shall we go on a journey... to Cavaillon?": Discover the city every Tuesday in July and August at 9:30 a.m.
• "On the road by bicycle...": Cavaillon by bike – Thursday, July 24 and Thursday, August 21 at 9:30 a.m.
• Cathedral visits: Thursdays – July 10, 17, 31 and August 28 at 9:30 a.m.

Provençal markets, local producers and regional flavours

Make the most of your holidays by strolling through the aisles of Cavaillon’s traditional market (Monday mornings), discovering local flavours at the farmers’ markets, or tasting a fresh melon straight from the producer.

• Farmers’ Market – Every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., from March 27 to September 25 – at Le Grenouillet
• Melon and local products market – Saturday, July 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Place du Clos (as part of the Melon Festival)
• Night market – Saturday, July 5 from 7 p.m. to midnight, Cours Gambetta (as part of the Melon Festival)
  
  

Outdoor activities to enjoy with the family

Summer is the perfect time to get moving outdoors — early in the morning or at the end of the day, when temperatures are cooler.
