Take a self-guided, rhythmic tour and immerse yourself in the world of fine lavender from Provence, discovering its history, uses and benefits. You'll be welcomed with an information leaflet and audio guide (and a quiz for children).
To begin your visit, take a seat in the projection room to watch a beautiful 10-minute documentary on the Château du Bois lavender-growing estate, which will allow you to follow the summer lavender harvest, from flowering to cutting and distillation. You'll be given a clear explanation of the difference between lavender and lavandin.

In the exhibition room, let yourself be carried away by the history of lavender through 25 points of explanation from the 16th century to the present day, discovering marvellous collections of copper stills, bottles and perfume labels.

You'll finish your visit to the museum with a discovery that will appeal to your senses: head to the shop to smell and test the essential oil of Haute Provence PDO lavender, perfumes and organic cosmetics. The children will then correct their quiz with the Lavender team and receive a young lavender grower's diploma.
