Do you know the cedar forest of Cabrières-d'Avignon? This immense forest of more than 5 hectares will amaze you by the size of its cedars! Nature lovers will appreciate the walk; a good breath of fresh air awaits you!
Cedars are imposing and large trees that can reach 30 to 40 metres in height and can live for more than 2000 years! A symbol of immortality, it is today an emblem of grandeur and strength. The cedar has the particularity of having a very strong smell.
Accessible from the top of the village of Cabrières-d'Avignon, this is probably the best place for family walks! It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, take your time, admire the large cedars, listen to the birds sing, BREATHE!
The cedar forest offers you 2 trails.
A 1,300-metre-long trail awaits the more athletic! You will find 20 workshops for warming up, strengthening and recovering... Enough to get you in shape to start your day... in the heart of a sumptuous setting!
A relatively flat botanical trail of 3km and about 1h30 will allow you to discover the richness of the local fauna and flora (garrigue, cedar grove), the main species of which are indicated along the route. The luckiest ones will be able to see hares, foxes, squirrels... You will enjoy the smells, in all seasons!

At the entrance to the forest you will find picnic tables. Please respect and take care of this place, for this purpose, rubbish bins are at your disposal.
A picturesque village set in the Monts de Vaucluse not far from Gordes. It offers the tranquillity of a village with streets lined with dry-stone walls that link squares and fountains!
Famous ramparts built to protect the inhabitants of the Comtat Venaissin from the Marseille plague from 1720 to 1722. Of medium difficulty, you will discover wonderful landscapes in the heart of the garrigue.
