In Vaugines, Écurie des Murmures invites you to discover the Luberon from a different perspective, at the gentle pace of the horses. Charlotte, a passionate professional horsewoman, offers small-group rides along the trails of Provence, through vineyards, orchards and garrigue landscapes.

Here, the relationship between horse and rider lies at the heart of the experience. Calm and attentive, the horses are ridden bitless, using a halter, in an approach that respects their well-being and sensitivity. It is a special opportunity to reconnect with nature, slow down and share a genuine moment of connection with your horse.

Horse rides at the pace of Provence

Imagine a summer morning, when the light is still soft and nature is slowly awakening. Hooves echo along the trails, the scent of the garrigue fills the air and the first rays of sunlight illuminate the vineyards and orchards.

On returning from the ride, a homemade breakfast featuring both sweet and savoury flavours extends this convivial escape in the heart of nature.

As evening falls, sunset rides offer a completely different atmosphere. The sun slowly disappears behind the Luberon hills, the landscapes glow with golden tones and a sense of calm settles in. Guided by Charlotte, the ride continues at the horses’ peaceful pace, between sunset and the first moments of nightfall.

Explore the landscapes of the Luberon on horseback

Throughout the year, several riding options are available, ranging from 1 hour 30 minutes to a full day.

Depending on the route, riders may reach the ridges of the Luberon, discover the landscapes surrounding the Étang de la Bonde or follow other trails selected according to the season and the group’s riding ability.

Rides are limited to five participants to preserve the friendly atmosphere of the experience, ensure the comfort of the riders and respect the horses’ well-being.

A minimum riding level is required: participants must be comfortable riding at a walk and able to perform rising trot.

Workshops and ethical horsemanship

Écurie des Murmures also organises half-day and full-day workshops for children and adults.

Private lessons in horsemanship and ethical riding provide an opportunity to better understand horse behaviour, improve communication and build a relationship based on trust, attentiveness and respect.

More than a simple equestrian activity, Écurie des Murmures offers a meaningful encounter with horses and the landscapes of the Luberon, in a natural environment that encourages calm and disconnection from everyday life.
