Every year around June 21, the Luberon pulses to the rhythm of world music. In our picturesque villages as well as in our lively towns, music fills the air – on squares, in parks, in churches, and in front of cafés.
What is the Fête de la Musique?
Created in France in 1982, the Fête de la Musique is a nationwide celebration of music held every year on June 21. Amateur and professional musicians perform for free – in the streets, on public squares, in parks, courtyards and cafés – turning each space into a giant open-air stage. Today, it’s celebrated in over 120 countries, but nowhere is it as vibrant and lively as in France!
On this page, you'll find all the events planned for the Fête de la Musique. Plan your musical adventure and let yourself be carried away by the energy of live music in the unique setting of the Luberon.
From the festive vibe of an outdoor concert to the magic of a performance in a heritage venue, these musical moments celebrate the diversity of styles, artists and audiences. Choral music, rock, pop, electro, world music, DJ sets, brass bands and cabaret – there’s something for every taste and every generation!
